🔥🍖 Sweet & Spicy Korean BBQ Meatballs

Ingredients: For the Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 egg
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 tbsp brown sugar
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Sweet & Spicy Sauce:

1/4 cup gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp water (to adjust consistency)
Instructions:

Make the Meatballs:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the meatballs are golden brown and cooked through.
Make the Sweet & Spicy Sauce:

In a small saucepan, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
Stir over medium heat until the sauce is smooth and heated through. Add water to thin it out if needed.
Toss the Meatballs:

Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the sweet & spicy sauce until they’re fully coated.
Serve & Enjoy:

Serve the meatballs on a platter and drizzle with extra sauce if desired. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for that extra pop of flavor!
